Tomasz Augustyniak

Tomasz Augustyniak is a foreign correspondent and independent consultant with over 16 years of professional experience in the media industry, based in Southeast Asia.

He started his career in Warsaw ahead of moving to New Delhi in 2013. He has since lived in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the UK and Thailand and reported from a number of South and Southeast Asian countries.

His work featured in more than twenty news publications including internationally renowned Al Jazeera, Quartz, South China Morning Post, The Times of India and Bloomberg Businessweek, as well as Poland’s top magazines and news portals: Polityka, Wprost, Tygodnik Powszechny, Wirtualna Polska and Onet.

In 2016, he was presented with the Leopold Unger Award (granted by Marie Curie-Sklodowska University) for his reporting.

Tomasz was a Journalist Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and V (2018-2019).

Since 2019, he has been PAP news agency’s Southeast Asia stringer. He also works with consulting firms and think tanks.
